May Day

I’ve heard that many countries designate May Day as a national holiday in the world.
But Japan doesn’t do that – today is a working day, although this week is called “GOLDEN WEEK”.
I think that Japanese people are not conscious of May Day so much. It seems that there are some events like the labor movement. But I haven’t seen persons who has participated in that kind of events.
Japan has some problems related to working conditions, but the number of people who take action against that is low. This may be also Japanese temperament ・・・
