Mandarin orange – very sweet and easy to eat

Mandarin oranges is very popular in Japan- we call them MIKAN(みかん). The winter is the best season to eat them.
They are very sweet- the sourness is not so strong and smaller than a lemon. Because the skin is thiner than oranges, we can peel a mandarin orange without a knife.

In KANSAI, WAKAYAMA prefecture is very famous as the producing district.
