I’ve written articles about breads. I think that the breads evolved differently from the original ones.
One of them is MUSHI-PAN(蒸しパン) or steamed bread. It is not baked literally. So the texture is very soft. Although Japanese breads are basically very soft, MUSHI-PAN is softer.
Many Japanese like very soft breads, so MUSHI-PAN is popular.
I’ve heard that European people don’t like very soft breads, so I’m not sure whether foreign visitors like it or not. But I think it’s yummy.
This is MATCHA-MUSHI-PAN. Besides this, Cheese-MUSHI-PAN is very popular.
